Installing the new firmware: Updating your firmware is a three-step process:

Please NOTE: updating firmware that is older than 1.9.6, please contact technical support for help before downloading the new firmware.

1. Find and download the correct image file to your computer.

2. From the Maestro web interface go to the device tab and click the update button under firmware.

3. Follow prompts to browse to and select the file you just downloaded.

  • Maestro setting added for composite units which allows for 3D/2D filter change to work around issues with color phasing on some SD content
  • Inverted front display settings now “sticky” through restarts and firmware updates

   Outstanding issues:

  • Revert button appears on all tabs in Maestro immediately after CM firmware update – clear browser cache removes it
  • Delayed Audio must be set via Maestro, front panel option does not save settings
  • Numbers in Device Name field do not sort properly, they are sorted in lexicographical, not numerical order
  • EAS Relay will not work between HDB3000 and HDb2000/ZvPro

          • VGA inputs can now be manually calibrated from the CLI
          • Corrects issue with internal routing table when changing from link-local to DHCP IP address

          • Font and background color of manual EAS messages was changed to allow for easier viewing
          • Allow lower base PID values, previous starting PID was 256, now lowest starting PID is 60

          • All ZvPro 600 and 800 Series Modulators: Significant improvement to video quality through a unique implementation of mpeg-2 bidirectional -predictive frames (b-frames) and much better motion tracking.  The efficient implementation of b-frames still gets the benefits of reduced cumulative error (i.e. reduced video smudging) and smaller frame sizes. Smaller b-frames allow  the more important intra and  predicted frames to be larger, also improving the video. Finally, efficient b-frame encoding allows more time to track motion, allowing for another significant improvement in video quality
